Out of sight, built for abuse
A dumpster enclosure screens waste and recycling containers from customers and neighbors, keeps lids and trash from blowing around, and keeps the area tidy. Restaurants, retail centers, offices, churches, apartment communities, and HOA amenity centers commonly need one, and many commercial site plans require it.
We size each enclosure to the actual container footprint and any required clearances, with gates wide enough for the collection truck to service the container without moving panels. Byron Dean, our General Manager, usually visits the site to confirm dimensions and gate clearance before we finalize the design.
Enclosure materials
Cedar board-on-board
A cost-effective, good-looking option, especially when it should match a wood fence already on the property.
Wood & Cedar →Steel panel
Holds up better than wood to repeated bumps from containers and equipment.
Ornamental metal →Design details
- Sized to the container footprint and required clearances
- Wide double gates with drop rods or ground anchors to hold them open or shut
- Reinforced corner and gate posts for repeated contact
- Screening that matches nearby fencing or building finishes
- A concrete pad or apron at the opening where the site requires one
Local considerations
Enclosure posts take regular hits, and the sandy topsoil over clay common in Montgomery County doesn't hold a post well unless it's set deep and wide. We set gate and corner posts accordingly.
Commercial enclosures are often required through the site's permitting process, and rules differ between the City of Magnolia, the City of Montgomery, and unincorporated county. We confirm requirements for your site and request Texas 811 locates before digging, since commercial sites often have more underground utilities than a backyard.
Dumpster enclosure questions
Is a dumpster enclosure required for my business?
Often, but it depends on the jurisdiction and your site plan. We'll confirm the requirements for your address.
How wide do the gates need to be?
It depends on your waste hauler's trucks and containers. We confirm their equipment dimensions before setting the gate width.
Can you match our building or existing fence?
In most cases, yes. We can match material, color, and style to existing fencing or building finishes.
